The State of Journalism in America - a Discussion with Award-Winning Journalist Mark Young

Greetings Great Americans! The state of journalism today in America - no doubt a lot to talk about here - as I found award-winning journalist, Mark Young (manateeherald.com), to talk about this issue.

Mark has won more than a dozen awards over the years, including the coveted Lucy Morgan Award for In-Depth Reporting from the Florida Press Club and for beat reporting from the Society for Professional Journalists.

Mark and I discuss his story from writing fishing updates to award-winning journalism, and then we delve into the deep-seated problems of integrity and bias that, unfortunately, have seeped into the once fairly objective world of journalism.

I have included a great audio clip with actual, and very, shall we say saucy political ads from the American 1800 presidential election, and of course, a "global warming!" update.

Plus, the history of the "American Candy Bomber" who dropped candy on children in East Berlin.

My conversation with Mark starts at the 21-minute point in the podcast.

Please keep on supporting local conservative media outlets and small businesses. Locally on the FL Sun coast, please support Palm Printing, Scavenger's Marketplace, and Mixon Fruit Farms.
